After two losses (K. Martin and W. Middaugh) and three wins (J. Jordison, B. Ursel and C. Prescia) we have reached the C-Semifinal (after previously having reached the A- and B- Semifinals).
In this top-class tournament one strong opponent is followed by the next strong opponent.
Thanks to a win in the Swiss-Derby against St. Gallen Baer we qualified for the C-Semifinal, which will be played tomorrow. We will meet either the USA (J. Shuster) or Canada (T. Appelman).
How will it continue? We will soon know more...

Second preparation tournament in Brooks
Today Thursday, the second tournament of our trainingcamp in Canada starts in Brooks, Alb. (in the middle of nowhere). After two varied days in Calgary we drove about 2 hours by car east into the Tampas. Brooks (where they claim to have 16'000 inhabitants) has a beautiful 6-rink Curlinghall.
The organizers did everything, to ensure that the event of the year was perfect. Next to the Curlinghall there is a "Patch", where fans and players can get together and chat.
After a short training we know, that we will be playing on fast ice with a strong swing.
Again the field of the tournament is strong. Nearly all top Canadian teams as well as some Olympic participants are here. The Homepage with up-to-date results can be found here: HIER.
