With 9 wins in 10 games, we embark on the Christmas holidays at the top of the Swiss Curling League.

During the second League week-end we won 5 (St Gallen, Langenthal, Luzern and Lausanne) of 5 games. Our only loss to date was against Zug (Hess).

These 9 victories mean that we already achieved our minimum objective in the Round Robin after only the second week-end since we now automatically qualify for the European Championship qualifying games in 2010.

You can click HERE to see the results and rankings in the Swiss Championships.

We now look forward to our well-earned Christmas holidays and look forward to the third and last part of the season.

We wish all our sponsors, family members, friends and fans a wonderful Christmas and an excellent start to 2010.

Hooray! We won silver in the European Championships in Aberdeen!

After a high-level final in the European Championships against the young Swedish team (5:6 after an extra end) we mounted the podium to receive our Silver Medal.

Of course we were a little disappointed at first, but when one reviews the week as a whole and considers how close we came to dropping out, then one can really say that we won Silver, rather than lost Gold!

The thrilling Final saw many stones placed with great precision and the final outcome was always in the balance. Finally, though, the Swedes, who had the advantage of the last stone in the extra end, kept their cool, exploited their position and thus certainly deserved their title.

We are nonetheless proud of our first international team medal which will give us plenty of confidence for the Olympic Games in Vancouver next year.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our team sponsors: Swiss Olympic, Swiss Curling, our great fans, our brilliant team coach Thomas Lips, our splendid substitute Toni Müller, our prudent national coach Lorne Humblin and our hard-working physiotherapist Lea Nadig for their massive support all along the line.

The European Championships in Aberdeen will remain an unforgettable event!

In the Final against the German team, the Swiss ladies lost with the last stone in the 10th end and thus also ended up with Silver.
