11.12.2009 FINAL
We succeeded in winning the extremely attractive semi-final game against Norway 8 : 5 after an extra end, thanks to a strong performance - above all in the second half (the score was 1:4 at the break) and that essential bit of competition luck. With this 6th victory in a row we succeeded in reaching the final against Sweden. That contest begins tomorrow at 13.30 hours (local time = 14.30 hours Swiss time) and will be transmitted live on the Eurosport-Player Link Europlayer. Switzerland's ladies will begin their final at 10.00 hours local time. |

11.12.2009 YES!
A clear win in the play-off game against Scotland secures our qualification for the Olympic Winter Games in VANCOUVER 2010!
We started the game well with two points in the first end. And from that moment on, we dominated the game. In the 5th end, we nearly took a 8:2 lead by making 4 points with a difficult double take out. But as things lay at half-time, we lead the game 5:2 instead of 8:2. By steeling in the 6th end we took a 6:2 lead which proved decisive, as the Scots only marked one point in the 8th end and we closed the game by marking in the 9th end.
Tomorrow at 14.00 local time, we play a semi final against the strongest team in Europe - Norway. If we play on a similar level as today, it will certainly be a close game ...:-)
Congratulations to our Megagirls.
By beating Denmark 8:5, they have prematurely qualified for the final. Now nothing should prevent them from successfully defending their title...:-) - Go for Gold!
